Warriors Battle Hard in 1st Scrimmage

Short handed Warriors go Head to Head with Blue Sluggers

The Warriors started the season short handed with only 7 players but hung tough against the full team of Blue Sluggers.  We were able to get a full 6 innings of baseball into an hour and half with all Warriors contributing.with either their bats or defense.  We'll work on a few things in practice that will help us improve our defense and offense.

  1. Go after the lead-runner whenever possible
  2. Know where the easiest play is for each batter
  3. Always run hard to first base - ERRORS happen!
  4. After the out, get the ball pack to PA immediately to stop other runners from advancing
  5. Have fun!

Overall the kids played great for so early in the season and hopefully enjoyed themselves!

Hoping you can all go on line and purchase e-certificates for your child’s baseball pictures.  If you go onto this website, you can see a sample price list and determine how much you will spend.  You pay for the e-certificate in advance and OBA gets 20% of the proceeds donated back.  If you wait until opening day to buy, we do not receive a donation from the photographer.  Plus it means no paperwork or checks at opening day!

Pinto Field Day

Need Volunteers

Pinto Field Day is scheduled for Saturday February 25th, 9:00 AM at Del Rey.  We need 3-4 volunteers from each team.  OBA is going to put up a new fence for Pinto this year.  So we will have to drill the holes for the posts.  If any of you have a battery drill please bring it.  OBA will supply the drill bits.
