Tryouts will continue as planned for 4:00 today at Wagner Ranch.

For players interested in trying out for the 11U and 12U 680 Diablo League Teams, evaluations will be conducted on the following dates and times:

Saturday 10/15/16,4:00 to 6:00

Saturday 11/12/16, 9:00 to 11:00

Sunday, 11/13/16 (scrimmage), see times below

The Saturday skill evaluations will be led by OBA's Pony coaching staff, with some assistance from parent-coaches. The Sunday tryout will be a scrimmage among players trying out for 680 teams.  The Sunday, 11/13/16 scrimmage will be held on Wagner Bronco, and times will be 10:30 to 12:30 for 11u players and 1:00 to 3:00 for the 12u players.

Players should report 30 minutes prior to check in, obtain their player number, and warm up.

Since registration for 2017 OBA Spring season will not be open in time for these evaluations, there will be a separate registration link, and all players must use this link to be included with the tryout process.

In order to be considered for a 680 League team, attendance at one of the two Saturday sessions is mandatory; however players are encouraged to attend all sessions. Attendance at multiple tryout sessions will only increase each players opportunity to show their best stuff on the field.  Please keep in mind that 680 Teams play many more games than OBA Bronco house league teams, and the season typically involves more competitive tournament play, which usually runs through July. Commitment to prioritizing baseball over other Spring and Summer sports is very important, so please consider these factors before participating in the 680 tryouts.

Parents are welcome to attend tryouts, but please remain off of the field(s) and allow the players and coaches to interact without interference. In some cases, players tend to perform better without the "pressure" of parental presence. Use your best judgment.
