David reed:

David is entering his fourth year of service to OBA and his second as Pinto Commissioner. He has coached regular season, tournament teams, and All-star teams at the Pinto and Mustang level.

He really enjoys teaching the fundamentals of the game – especially pitching and infield play. When not working on schedules, tournament team plans, or the fields, you will find him doing his real job as Nor Cal sales rep for Champion. David’s son Owen will be a second year Mustang player in 2010.

 

Alan Metheny

Alan's first OBA coaching job was with a Pinto team back in 2003. His son Matt plays Bronco and his son Joe plays Mustang. Besides baseball, Alan has coached flag football, soccer, basketball and rugby.

His goal is to coach his daughter Ellie's ballet team. He has also been the commissioner for OYA soccer and OYA basketball. His other job is with Morgan Stanley in Orinda and his hobbies are golf, softball, ping pong, badminton and Honey Do's.

 

 

Doug Nelson

Doug has been around OBA since 2003 having coached for six years including several tournament and post-season teams. His final two seasons coaching were in the Bronco division. His son, Logan, is a Pony player

Additionally, Doug's business experience enhances his fit as Bronco Commish.  He is a former employee of the Oakland A's and since 2003, has been a principal of the sports marketing firm, Echo Sports Marketing

Mike Henderson

Mike has been an OBA coach/manager since his 10 year old son Matt, started Pinto, and has enjoyed every minute. His 6 year old son, Joe, will launch his OBA career in the spring, and his 8 year old daughter, Mary Kate, is their biggest fan.

Mike has worked in Larkspur au US Bank in Larkspur for 17 years, and is an Orinda native. As Pony commissioner, he plans to continue to fulfill his love of "the game" and is looking forward to being a more integral part of the OBA organization.

A few of Mike's other interest include golf and biking, and did I mention, he is a die hard A's and Raider fan.
