Opening Day festivities will occur rain or shine at Wagner Ranch on Saturday although it appears that we will have a nice day. Players should arrive in full uniform and sneakers. Coaches: please wear your new jersey.
Team pictures are first. The schedule is posted below. Pinto group starts at 8AM. As a reminder, NO CLEATS in the Wagner gym for Opening Day.
Parking will be permitted on the Wagner Ranch black top adjacent to the Mustang Field. Please bring the Rooney's photo envelopes and checks and complete them prior to your photo time.
The line up for the Parade into the gym should be completed by 10:45. Please re-assemble as a team around 10:30 and proceed to back of the gym black top area.
In between pictures and the ceremony, there will be much to do including the ever popular 'SPEED GUN' machine sponsored by Orinda Motors.
Food, snacks, drinks, and plenty of COFFEE will be available. Carnival game activities will be set up for the kids.

Baseball and Safety OBA is strongly encouraging all OBA players to provide their own batting helmets beginning this season. OBA will still provide some helmets that can be shared, but we believe it is in the best interest of your player to have their own helmet. To help players get their own helmets, we will be selling helmets for $5 each at the OBA Opening Day Ceremonies this Saturday at Wagner Ranch. Most of the helmets we are selling are "used" from our equipment locker; some are brand new. All proceeds go to support the ongoing operations of OBA, so be sure to buy a helmet for your player this Saturday at Opening Day!
Opening Day Glove and Bat Drive Please consider bringing your used baseball gloves and bats to Opening Day. They will be collected for the Puerto Vallarta Little League, for boys 9-14 years old. There will be a booth at Opening Day where you can make your baseball equipment donations. On their Spring break trip, the Shepards are going to deliver as much as they can carry themselves and OBA will ship the balance directly to the league. For additional information, you may call the Shepard Family at 258-0120.
 How about those Apparel Pre-Orders? If you ordered 2009 OBA logo apparel, it will be available for pick up at the Apparel table. Additional orders will be taken and if enough are secured, we will produce them.
